Event Description
This Hash starts within the grounds of the Orange Park great house. This great house is situated in the hills above Yallahs and has views across to the Blue mountains to the north and the coast to the south. The premises were once part of a large coffee plantation, but for over 30 years the building was the home and workshop of Jamaican artist, Basil Barrington Watson.
The Hares have not revealed the nature of the walk, nor distance, but I am quite sure it’s not the Cedar Valley pathways!
Fine views, fresh air and an opportunity to see this finely restored great house and the artist museum and gallery.

Hash Directions
You are going to drive East out of Kingston. Take the south coast road and drive towards Yallahs, St.Thomas, passing through Albion. This main road is still under much reconstruction, so drive with care and be aware that many slow moving lorries and diggers are on the road. One you reach Yallahs look out for a LEFT turn on the Newland Road. This turning is as you start to leave Yallahs and where S & A Supply Hardware shop is located. There is a gas station on the right side of the road. Once you are on the Newland road, you stay on that road all the way to Orange Park. It is uphill, and in poor condition, and latter part unpaved. The road is a dead end, and Orange Park is at the end! Look for sign which reads: “YOU HAVE ARRIVED AT LAST!'
Hash Extras
An opportunity to have a guided tour of the art museum is available. The cost of the tour is $1500 JMD per person.
