Event Description
“Hashers!” This is our 600th recorded Hash. We return to Danny’s Adventure Garden as our base. A lovely private garden and base, where we will have food (wow!) and can relax in peace.
This route is a quite wonderful trail along (mostly) another old and abandoned road through deep forest cover. I think it will be about 8 or 9km. (I have to just complete it!). It includes old marl track, a section of the dry Bray river bed, and forest. Mostly wide track and clear narrow footpath.

Hash Directions
Ok, some will recall we were at this location in June last year (2023). With a clear run, the journey time is an hour from Manor Park. See this Google pin reference: https://maps.app.goo.gl/xEQESbZCkfwhjvYPA Take the main road north, up Stony Hill and the main driving road, which runs beside the Wag Water river. (Until Friendship Gap the river is on your right side, after Friendship Gap the river is on your left). Keep driving north, passing through Castleton and Friendship Gap. Once you reach Broadgate the newly repaired and surface road commences. Stay on the new road. (Further renovation has now been completed). You will pass the large Westmoreland road Bridge on your left side. About 800 metres further along turn RIGHT off the main road. NB. The main road is fast at this point. Take care when turning right. At the turning there is a new bus shelter on the corner where you turn. You are now on a rough track. Continue along the track for about 600 meters. Danny's Adventure Garden is on the left side. You can't miss it. Please park where directed.
Hash Extras
Please note: We are all required to contribute a $200 JMD for use of the Garden, parking and toilets etc. This is in addition to the usual $700 JMD cost. This trail climbs to about 900ft, on old trail. There is likely one small tributary crossing, which may result in wet shoes. At 8/9km, in hill and forest will require a level of fitness. Please carry water for the trail. There is no beer stop in the forest!
