Event Description
“Hashers”! Where were the Hares? Anyway….Hashmaster and Never Screams bring you yet another quite lovely trail, starting from Langley Great house. (Yes, we started from here a few weeks ago, but this one is easy!) It’s about 5km and easily managed. A short walk up to Mt Airy and then down and along a beautiful forest path and along part of old abandoned parochial road. Passing over many small tributaries and reaching down to the Plantain river at River Walk. Then a short road walk and back into the forest above and beside the Plantain river back to Langley.

Hash Directions
For regular Hashers, we were here on 23 June, for Hash 607. Leave Kingston via Manor Park and drive up to Stony Hill. Drive down the other side to Golden Spring, which is at the bottom of the hill. Turn RIGHT at the gas station (which you will see on your left) and cross over the road bridge and the Wag Water river. Drive up hill, through Mt Pleasant and Mt James. After passing through the square at Mt James, the road bends to the right. Keep on the main driving road and keep bearing right, around the bend and start up hill again. Do NOT drive down the left fork, as others did last time! Keep on the main and only road, which is narrow and has many pot holes. You'll pass a gate with large Rasta flags on the fencing as you drive up. You will eventually reach to Langley House - a large wooden sign directs you. The journey time from Manor Park is about 40 minutes. Drive down the rough drive to the location. See this Google pin reference https://maps.app.goo.gl/HyUhfSYHvCvKRENX9 NB. Please do NOT park blocking the driveway at the top, where the Langley House sign is, or on the start of the hill down. If parking there, please park tight to the side wall, but only a few cars can reasonably Park there. There is ample parking at the bottom, at Langley House.
Hash Extras
This is not a hard walk, It is mostly along forest path, which is damp and slippery in some places. No river crossing required. Both sound pathway and no precipices. About 5km, in a circle. NB. It has rained almost everyday up at Mr Airy and Langley, at some stage in early to late afternoon. Bring another shirt and or towel, and or rain protector. Insect spray will help those who keep getting bitten!
