Event Description
“Hashers!” No Hares since 8 September? Are you all in your burrows?
Yours Truly and Never Screams bring you another fine trail (part of which you last did on 8th September!) This a stop gap, so be prepared! We trailed this last weekend. A lovely walk from the church, crossing the Plantain river, (low) and up to Mt Airy and then along the old parochial road which follows the ridge line to New Gardens, overlooking fine views, and return via little used driving road to the Anglican church, which is by the river.
Just over 6km

Hash Directions
Take the same route we took when we went to Langley House, but the destination is way before Langley House. See this Google link: https://maps.app.goo.gl/oUNjZsAwZ1GUMGPw9 Travel up Stony Hill road, down other side to Golden Spring and turn RIGHT (at the Total gas station) over the bridge and the Wag Water river. Then follow road all the way up hill, reaching Mt Pleasant, then downhill to Mt James. As you pass through Mt James Square, the road bends to the right. After the right bend there is LEFT turn, which goes down a steepish slope. Take the LEFT route. (If you keep right and go up hill, you're going to Langley House and the wrong way!) A HASH sign will be here. After the left turn, the church and parking is about 500 yds further along.
Hash Extras
You will get your feet wet at the start of the Hash. (That's just the way it is!) A forest trail (first part is what we came down from Mt Airy, on our recent Langley House Hash), then an old wide parochial road which crosses the ridge between Mt Airy and New Gardens. Then 2km downhill, to Hash circle and beer!
