Event Description
“Hashers”! It’s been the year of the Olympics, Paralympics and now JAH3 Hash Olympics on Sat 19th, where levels of athleticism can be displayed – or not. It is also Hash 613 on Sunday 20th October.
The Hash fun, sun and games will be at Sugar Pot ruins beach (we were least there in 2018). A 10.30/11.00am start.
Hash 613 will be by the Rio Neuvo river, just past Retreat, in a small community called Warwick (not on the map!).
The Hash is along either side of the river and two crossings, one by a bridge, the other wading!
Hash games are six gentle team games which challenge (ha!) your fitness, speed and skill. All just fun.
NB. Only one date can be shown below. Which is the Hash on Sunday 20th, which has local food arranged. But please let me know if coming to both, when registering, in the Comments section of your registration.
Hash Details
Miss Poochie will cook chicken, rice and peas. Cost will be at least $1000JMD, but may be a little more. So bring some pocket money.

Hash Directions
OK, focus. There are two locations. Sugar Pot Ruins beach on Saturday 19th and Hash 613 on Sunday. Those who attend the Games day, will get full details for the Sunday Hash. See the Google ref for Sugar Pot. https://maps.app.goo.gl/DdzcDhAFDV1kML9B7 Sugar Pot Ruins beach bar & Restaurant is a marked location on Google maps. Enter it as a name search on Google or Maps and it will show full details and directions and map reference. It is on the north coast, about 20 mins drive east of Ocho Rios. Access is a LEFT turn off the main road (from Ocho Rios) by the Cool Oasis gas station, at the bottom of a steep hill. Hash 613 is along the Retreat road. Directly opposite the Cool Oasis gas station is a RIGHT turn on the Retreat Road. The location is 5km away. Follow the main driving road. Don't deviate. Pass the Holy Trinity Anglican church (a lovely building). The road turns sharp right and there is an old iron grid bridge on your left. Continue on main and about 500metre further on take the LEFT turn on to Donalds Land Road. (there is a named sign post at the junction). Travel another 1km along narrow riverside road to another iron bridge. Cross and park up.
Hash Extras
Please Note. Sugar Pot Ruins beach is a private beach. Entry is $500 JMD per person. Deidre (manger/owner) requests that if you bring your own food/meal it will cost you a 'picnic' charge. However, we can order food from the bar/restaurant, which we can order when we arrive. This will be best. Deidre has also allowed me to bring an igloo of our Hash beer on to the beach, without charge. Those who wish other drinks can purchase from the bar. JAH3 is not seeking any additional money on Hash Olympics day!! So it is $500JMD entry to the owner and but their lunch, etc.
