Hash Directions

DIRECTIONS:
The Hash takes place at Portland Cottage (Fishing) Beach, which is pretty much the most southern part of Clarendon and indeed the most southern part of Jamaica.

*Travelling from Kingston, you can be there in less than 90 minutes (via the Toll Highway and the Salt River Road)

*From Kingston, head West, and take the Toll Road in the direction of Mandeville.

*Pass through the main Toll and take the Freetown exit. You will see it signposted!

*Upon leaving the highway, head towards Freetown

*Look out for the next TOTAL gas station and turn LEFT . You are on the Salt River Road.

*Go past Babsy Bar, (we did a Hash there in April) pass the old WISCO warehouses, the yachts and the Salt River Mineral Spa.

*Turn LEFT at the blue/white bus shed and drive through Mitchell Town

*Take the next major LEFT turn (Lindsay Road)
[If you miss the turn, you end up on the way to Lionel Town. Turn Back!]

*Turn LEFT
(Welcome to Portland Cottage)

*Stay on Portland Cottage Road and head to the Portland Cottage beach.
[Go past Baygon Hot Spot (Baygon organises the food for us) and the Big "Food for the Poor" container. The entrance to the beach is opposite Samantha Bar]
